The Institute invites you to the IMI Transport and Sustainable Mobility Day on Wednesday, April 2, 2025!

On Wednesday April 2, IMI will be holding a day dedicated to the Transport and Sustainable Mobility axis. We invite you all to take part in this day, notably by proposing presentations of your activities in this field. Guest keynotes will complete the program, with talks by Pierre-Etienne Gautier for rail transport and Christophe Viguier (Safran Helicopter Engines) for air transport.

Transport and sustainable mobility, a major focus of IMI's work

IMI 's Transport and Sustainable Mobility research focuses on the major industrial sectors of aeronautics, space, naval, automotive and rail. The Institute's work focuses on the development of innovative models and tools for a better understanding and characterization of the physical mechanisms involved in movements, deformations and transfers in matter.

This research mobilizes a wide range of disciplines in the fields of aerodynamics / hydrodynamics (wakes, vortex dynamics, shock, boundary layer, cavitation, rotating flows, ...), fluid/structure interaction, combustion (mixing, reactive flows, hydrogen, ...), materials and structures (contact, deformation, deformation, ...).), materials and structures (contact, thin structures, buckling, deformations, interface and adhesion, composites, ...) through to waves and acoustics (noise, micro-perforated absorbers, propagation, non-destructive testing, ...).

  • To help you prepare for the day, please contact the people in charge of the Transport and Sustainable Mobility axis in your respective laboratories: Sébastien Piponniau (IUSTI), Régis Cottereau (LMA), David Zarzoso (M2P2) and Gautier Verhille (IRPHE).
