Prof. Richard M. Lueptow awarded Doctor Honoris Causa at the "Soirée Scientifique AMU".
On April 4, 2025, Prof. Richard M. Lueptow, Associate Dean of the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, was named Honorary Doctor of AMU at the Soirée Scientifique AMU, at the suggestion of IMI, AMU and the Fédération Fabri de Peiresc.
A professor recognized for the excellence of his research commitments and results:
Professor Richard M. Lueptow is co-founder of the Master's program in Product Design and Development and Professor of Mechanics, his research work ranging from fundamental flow physics to water purification on manned spacecraft and planetary acoustics.
His most recent Research focuses on two areas: modeling, simulation and experiments on the segregation and mixing of bi- and poly-dispersed granular materials, and molecular-level simulation of transport processes in polymeric nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes.
