Context
This call for proposals aims to support innovative, collaborative research projects. The call comprises a "classic" main component for funding research projects, and two complementary components designed to encourage the development of international exchanges and the training-research link. For the main component, the grant can be up to 30,000 euros. The Internationally complementary component can fund the stay of a foreign researcher (up to a maximum of 6,000 euros), while the Research component can fund an educational initiative based on the research project (up to a maximum of 6,000 euros).
- Projects last 16 months.
- The total budget for the main component is 180,000 euros.
Eligibility criteria
Research theme
IMI gives priority to the collaborative nature of projects within the Institute. This call for proposals is open to all research topics, and all subjects dealt with within the Institute are eligible. Multi-disciplinary and inter-laboratory projects are encouraged. The call for proposals must include details of the project's scientific background, research program and expected spin-offs.
Research team
Projects must indicate the name of a correspondent with whom the Institute's management will correspond. The entire team must be presented. The complementary nature of the team must be detailed. The role of non-permanent staff involved in the project (interns, PhD students, post docs) must also be specified. This call for proposals will not fund human resources (PhD students or post-docs, for example). It may, however, fund internship stipends.
Eligible expenses
The main part of the call for proposals is designed to finance the operating and capital expenditure required to carry out the proposed scientific project. All expenses must be detailed, and in particular missions (from and/or to the institute) and expenses for internships. A quotation (or list price) must be provided for equipment purchases (any item costing more than 800 euros excluding VAT, unit value). When estimating the financial cost of the project, it is possible to include additional external funding. In this case, you need to specify the amount and whether it has already been obtained, applied for or is to be applied for.
